Made of Cells
Sun Bears, like all living organisms, are made of cells. Cells are what make up tissue, organs, organ systems, and finally organisms. Sun Bears have been proven to contain red blood cells through tests conducted to test for blood parasites. It was found that the cells are uniform in size, biconcave, and have a prominent central pallor of 7.4 μm. Sun Bears also have a working digestive system, which is as you would guess, made of cells. This part of the South Asian bears has been proven by the study of their fecal matter. Sun Bears play a very important part in their ecosystem, as their feces is used to spread hundreds of different seeds around. Another piece evidence ties into the fact that organs are made of cells. Sun Bears in the past, and to this day, are hunted for their gallbladders. People used to believe that this organ, added an additional benefit to traditional Chinese medicine, but it has since been proven otherwise. The final piece of evidence gathered through my research was that the Malayan Sun Bear does infact have a reproductive system. This is also known as a organ system. This has been proven through the witnessing of conception and birth of encaged Sun Bears.
